A fashion influencer is adjusting her content, using her influence to help people impacted by the coronavirus.
Danielle Bernstein, also known as WeWoreWhat on Instagram, uses her platform to encourage her 2.3 million followers to help those in need.
She posts about New York City-based charity organizations to donate to, information about jobs hiring, and raises awareness on supporting small businesses while also providing lifestyle content.
The West Village resident says she hopes to help her followers and inspire them to give back.
“Now more than ever, it’s important to use our platforms to raise awareness, educate, make an impact. Influencers are really the best way to get a brand’s message across. So, a combination of helping brands, small businesses, and organizations — I really feel like I have this newfound responsibility to my community and to my followers,” Bernstein said.
She has also donated 19,000 face masks to health care workers on the frontlines.
